Patrick Morley

President and Chief Executive Officer

Patrick Morley serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Bit9. Mr. Morley is an industry veteran with a well-proven track record of driving companies large and small to revenue growth and market leadership. Serving in senior leadership roles, Mr. Morley has worked on six venture-backed software companies and three successful IPO's. Mr. Morley most recently served as Chief Operating Officer of Corel, where he led the company's global sales, marketing, and operations functions for the Americas, EMEA, and Asia. He joined Corel in 2005, playing a significant leadership role in the company's turnaround, acquisition strategy and eventual IPO. Prior to Corel, Morley served as Chief Executive Officer of Massachusetts-based security company Imprivata Corporation. Mr. Morley has also held senior management positions at Macromedia, Allaire, Rational Software and SQA. He received a B.A. in Mathematics and Computer Science from Providence College.

Harry Sverdlove

Chief Technology Officer

Harry Sverdlove, Bit9's Chief Technology Officer, draws from nearly two decades of application design and analysis with industry-leading IT enterprises, adding a new layer of technical expertise and strategic vision to Bit9's portfolio of endpoint security solutions. Most recently, Sverdlove served as Principal Research Scientist for McAfee, Inc., where he supervised the overall architecture of crawlers, spam detectors and link analyzers. Sverdlove joined McAfee through its 2006 acquisition of SiteAdvisor Inc., where he worked as Chief Scientist to develop systems for testing, detecting and analyzing any Windows-based application. Prior to joining SiteAdvisor, Harry ran his own consulting company specializing in Windows automation and spam detection. Before that he was Director of Engineering at Compuware Corporation (formerly NuMega Technologies). Prior to NuMega, Harry was Principal Architect for Rational Software, where he designed the core automation engine behind Rational Robot. Harry has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from MIT.

Doug Cahill

Vice President of Business Development

Doug Cahill joined Bit9 in 2007 as the company’s Vice President of Business Development bringing over two decades of technology leadership experience to his role as a member of Bit9’s executive team and is responsible for managing the company’s strategic partnering initiatives. Prior to Bit9, Cahill was Vice President of Business Development and Strategy at storage management software vendor AppIQ (acquired by Hewlett Packard), where he led the company's highly successful OEM distribution partnerships with leading IT brands. He was also Vice President of Product Management at HighGround Systems (acquired by Sun Microsystems) and held senior marketing, product management, and technical positions at Shiva Corporation, Progress Software and Access Technology. After graduating from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a double major, Cahill started his career in IT as a Business Analyst.

Jim Clemens

Vice President of Sales

Jim brings 20 years of technology sales experience to Bit9, where he is focused on revenue growth and expansion. Before joining Bit9, Jim was the vice president of sales with OATSystems (acquired by Checkpoint Systems), where he built direct and partner sales in industrial, manufacturing and retail segments. Before OATSystems, Jim led sales for Frictionless Commerce, driving revenue growth leading up to the sale of the company to SAP in 2006. Jim previously led direct sales for Macromedia, building sales activity with major customers and driving rapid expansion of Breeze, a significant contributor to company growth. Earlier in his career, Jim spent 10 years at Silicon Graphics, where he led Eastern U.S. sales. Jim is a cum laude graduate of Dartmouth College.

Di Hall

Vice President of Services

Di Hall serves as the vice president of services where she centrally manages Bit9's customer management and services activities from sales through implementation and ongoing support. Hall brings nearly 25 years of experience working with technology both in software product development and professional services, implementing successful customer service, client management and software development programs. Prior to Bit9, Hall served as the vice president of operations and customer success for web security software company Watchfire, where she led professional services, customer support programs and training initiatives. She also held the vice president, chief operating officer positions at Viant, an Internet professional services firm. Additionally, she served in various senior management roles at Cambridge Technology Partners and Easel Corporation. Hall graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in Computer Science from University of Massachusetts, Lowell.

Adam Liberman

Vice President of Engineering

Adam Liberman has an extensive track record as a leader within the software development and security industry and brings over 20 years of experience in engineering development and management to his role at Bit9. He has served in a variety of leadership roles while at Ounce Labs, IBM, Rational Software and SQA (Software Quality Automation). Previously, he was the Vice President of Engineering at Ounce Labs, where he oversaw all research and development. Prior to that, he was responsible for ClearQuest product development within IBM-Rational. While at SQA, Adam served as the Product Engineering Lead and architect of the Defect Tracking and Test Management solutions. While at Rational, he served in several roles including the Director of Engineering for the SQA Business Unit. Adam holds both a Bachelors and Masters degree in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI).

Gordon Pothier

Chief Financial Officer

Gordon Pothier is vice president of finance at Bit9, overseeing finance, administration, legal, human resources, and facility operations. With over 15 years of financial management experience, he brings proven financial expertise, operational skills, and strategic planning leadership to the Bit9 executive management team. Before joining Bit9, Mr. Pothier served as senior director at Corel, where he focused on global sales operations, improving the company's overall back office systems. He played a critical lead role during the company's mergers and acquisitions, integrating WinZip and Intervideo into the company's go to market model. Prior to Corel, Mr. Pothier held senior financial management positions at Macromedia, after joining that company through its acquisition of Allaire Corporation. Mr. Pothier helped transition the company from a primarily packaged software vendor to an enterprise sales company before its acquisition by Adobe. He earlier served as business unit controller at Bay Networks and he started his career at Sybase. Mr. Pothier received a B.S. in Accountancy and an MBA in Finance from Bentley College.

Brian Hazzard

Vice President of Product Management

Brian Hazzard joined Bit9 in 2006 to help launch the Company's Parity solution and drive the product portfolio strategy. As director of product management, Brian Hazzard brings a wealth of security systems integration knowledge to Bit9. Previously, Brian worked with Molecular, a leading technology consulting firm, as a security and technical consultant to financial services clients such as MFS Investments and JP Morgan in the design and implementation of secure online trading systems. Prior to that, Hazzard worked in information security for GTE Government Systems and MIT Lincoln Laboratory. He received B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
